The work I have created in my print practice has come about because of my underlying
interest in identity. I’m interested in how our identities through ‘modern’ history have been captured in a single image through photography.

My book is a collection of photo etchings from my Victorian photograph collection. The people in these photographs looked like archetypal familial characters, because of this I wanted to tie them together within an archive of a reconstructed family.

I created a book rather than single prints as it is a much more accessible and personal
object, just like a family album is a personal archive for each of us.
