My work is a means of visually expressing shared emotional experiences of women in society today, juggling their lives between family, home and work commitments dealing with feelings of frustration, entrapment, suspension of the self and continuous excessive
workload. I write poems of a situation which then inspire my imagery.

Journey (left) - Simple drypoint and carborundum processes are used in this book. 2007.  The humorous imagery highlights the stress of packing the family suitcases, travelling with children arguing in a car and the final destination, where at last the chance to relax! Fabric is used for the clothing and the sleeve takes the form of a suitcase.

This is All (right) - Multi-plate etchings including aquatint, spit bite, intaglio and photo etching. 2007.  Each print evolved from a personal poem depicting loss of identity as a working mother, tied to responsibilities. The delicate pink cover and rubber glove entraps these images in a feminine domain of care and domesticity.  Bought by the British Library Artist's Books Collection
