The inspiration for my etchings comes from my recreational walks through the Gwydyr Forests of North Wales.  My intentions are to share these experiences by evoking inquisitiveness about the forest and its inhabitants and by luring the viewer into the lively but hidden forest floor environment of insects and bugs.

In my practice I am exploring a combination of mark making, painterly effects, rich darks and starkly contrasting lights to enhance the drama and sense of wonder
I find exists in these special places.
